About Jessie

Family, love, and introspection all live in the heart of Jessie Gosling's songs. Hailing from Barrie, Ontario, this singer/songwriter draws inspiration from folk, country, jazz, and rock influences. Reminiscent of artists like Linda Perhacs and Adrianne Lenker, Jessie's music combines layers of warm harmonies, bright guitars and dramatically honest lyrics.

Work ethic and determination shine through in all aspects of her life. Jessie is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Music degree while performing in venues across Toronto, including the Rivoli for NXNE, and as a member of Carmine at the Aga Khan Museum.

Carmine - Something is Awake

In the summer of 2023, Jessie worked alongside eight other College students together for 14 weeks to form Carmine. They created and recorded five songs, two films, a physical zine, and a series of digital art as part of an album titled Something is Awake. Deeply inspired by the Museum's Rumi exhibition, this endeavour embarks on a soul-stirring exploration of timeless themes such as love, life, and death, delving into the heart of Sufism and the transformative power of our collective consciousness.

Princess Cover 2.jpg

Jessie wrote Princess about a strange, yet comforting feeling she had on the way to see her friends last summer. Reminiscent of a stroll through the woods on a warm, cloudy day, Princess is filled with haunting harmonies and floating guitar. Princess is self-produced, peppered with absurd lyrics and brings itself together with a melodramatic ending. This the song is truly a piece of herself.
